Happy Birthday to our fearless leader Dan Worstell!

Dec 3rd, 2012:

Pyramid Roofing’s owner and president Dan Worstell celebrates a birthday today!

Dan is married to his wife Tammy of 26 years and is the proud father of two sons, Derek (Sophmore-LSU) and Drew (Junior-Walsingham Academy).  He loves to spend time with family who often join him at LSU football games.  Dan also likes to char-grill oysters and unwind at the Hampton Office for some fishing on the Chesapeake Bay.

Dan is an avid community supporter and it shows through his involvement in several community based events and organizations that allow him the opportunity to give back to the community in a variety of ways.

After graduating college, Dan started Pyramid Roofing in Dallas, TX.  Several years later, Pyramid set up shop in Denver Colorado where Dan duplicated his success by opening up a second office in nearby Ft. Collins.  It was Dan’s longing to be close to family that brought him to Virginia where he was able to continue Pyramid’s success thanks in large to his mom and Dad, Jerry and Anne who, by the way, was Pyramid’s biggest cheerleader.

Shortly thereafter Dan was able to open offices in Williamsburg, Richmond and eventually Newport News.  At one point, Dan and Pyramid Roofing operated four successful locations in three separate states at the same time, demonstrating that Dan knows how to be successful wherever he goes.  However, after sixteen years, Dan has found his home.  His success comes from his innovative way of approaching business and his dedication to his customers.  His passion for customer service is displayed in our company motto: Go “Above and Beyond” what is expected.

Second only to customer service is his desire to keep all of his employees happy and it shows through the loyalty his team has displayed throughout the years.  As an example of his desire to keep his employees happy, he introduced the “No fat Roofer” program in 2012. Dan had recently felt the benefits of daily exercise through his daily walk and started to notice more and more how the time allowed him to think freely and come up with great ideas for the company. Almost immediately, he purchased gym memberships for all employees and issued a challenge to see who could lose the most weight over the next six months. This is one of many examples of how deeply Dan cares about his employees which translates into a tight knit team that is willing to do whatever it takes.

Dan – The entire Pyramid team would like to say THANK YOU! for your commitment to excellence. Your trust and generosity in our team truly creates an enthusiastic working environment!

Enjoy your Day ~ Geaux Tigers!
