Recently, our office received a phone call from a new client. As usual, we asked them how they had heard about us. When she answered, she said that her mother had been good friends with my mother, Anne Worstell. My mom has been gone for over 10 years, but to this day she still manages to send referrals our way.
When I moved here from Texas in 1997 to be closer to family and expand my business, I was truly building from the ground up. We had zero clients and zero marketing in place. This is where my mom stepped in. From day one she was our best networker and ambassador, always sharing the Pyramid Roofing name with those she knew.
My mom ("Doodle" as we affectionately called her) was the kind of friend you would be lucky to have. I've never known someone who had as many friends as she did, but it was never a surprise due to her thoughtful and kind personality.
My mom was always supporting, always loving, and always one of our biggest fans. In fact, I'd joke with her when we wouldn't get a new referral from her for a while. I would kiddingly tell her that she was in a slump and asked her if everything was okay on her end. She always laughed hard at that one! She'll forever be our best ambassador. As Mothers Day nears my mind always drifts back to the fond memories of the precious time spent with that very special lady. My Mom.
Have a great Spring/Summer everybody!Best, Dan
